"Plot"
This book starts
with the birth of Ayşe Kulin, in İstanbul. She is a very cute girl with cute blue
eyes. Sitare and Muhittin are very happy because of their little daughter’s
birth. The first color that Ayşe sensed is blue! Her father’s deep and
beautiful eyes, because of that Ayşe always wanted to wear and use blue color
during her childhood.
Ayşe’s childhood
was takes place in İstanbul and Ankara. They live in Ankara with Sitare and
Muhittin. She sees her father rarely because of his job. And summer times, she
goes to Istanbul, to her mother’s family. She is very naughty but intelligent
and cute. She had a nice childhood.
When little Ayşe
grows up, she goes to American College for Girls as a boarding student, in
Istanbul. Ayşe is the third person who goes to American College in the family
after her mother, Sitare and her grand-aunt, Sabahat. She is a very intelligent
student but also she is very naughty.
After
the school, she meets with a boy, Mehmet. Sitare doesn’t like him very very
much but Ayşe loves Mehmet. And surprisingly, she marries Mehmet. They go to
England, in order to study at university. By this time, they have a child with
blue beautiful eyes like his mother, Mete. Ayşe’s life is more difficult, with
a child, with a husband, with a young age and with loneliness and way she has
to get used to.
By the
time, Mehmet starts to change. This man was not the man Ayşe recognized at
first. She quits from her successful university life because of all these
hardships, also they have a second baby, Ali. What will Ayşe do?
"Characters"
Ayşe:
* Ayşe is the only child of Muhittin and Sitare. She is an
intelligent and beautiful person. She can write very strong since her school
years. She loves Mehmet but she doesn’t know what to do.
Mehmet:
* Mehmet is the first husband of Ayşe. At first, she loves
Ayşe. But after a while, when they returned to Istanbul from England,
everything has been changed for them, and Mehmet.

when she was a child. She can easily represent her at her autobiographic books.
We learned about her more than other two books, because that was ‘her’ story. I
recommend it to everyone, who likes or dislikes autobiographic books.”
My Comments:
“I liked that book very much, too. Like some other authors,
she didn’t exaggerate the events and didn’t put herself at the front of the
image, so this is a reliable autobiography. Honest, good and successful. Also, if you are thinking that your life is the worst life ever, you can see how hard was life during war years in London and Turkey. I recommend
it to everyone who wants to read a good autobiography.”
